Getting to know ReactJS
Coming from an Angular background, I can definitely say that ReactJS has (so far) been a breath of fresh air. The expressiveness and explicit nature of JSX makes developing components that feel native a dream.
I originally began trialling ReactJS about 3 days ago. I have long been looking for an alternative to Angular that wasn't going to end up being a dead end (when they release the full rewrite for version 2) — which I no doubt will use but until then...
To summarise; the key components of ReactJS that have so far proven to be leagues ahead of Angular are it's:
- Expressive syntax
- Modular approach
- Documentation (Surprisingly good with a bunch of support from the community)
I'll be back with a follow up once I have had a chance to implement React on a production project which I will have the chance to early this year. Here's hoping.
